Summary/Abstract: Just look at that goat (whose straggly little beard is plainly the delight of the local beak) - yes, observe - with what carefree calm he nibbles into the hedge that borders his master's little vineyard! Quite a fatalistic goat! With almost metronomic regularity and (being a gentleman with long service behind him) with the restraint of one in retirement, he keeps on tugging off the young hazel shoots and his stubborn jawbones munch. But what a belly! Look, now he's reared up on his hind legs, like a preacher in his pulpit. And now - oh, wretched animal! - Look! he's actually begun on the young growth of that Black Cape vine.
