Summary/Abstract: "Articulations of Trauma: Andrzej Strug and Tadeusz Konwicki" is a monograph devoted to the prose of the writers who have experienced war. These works allow us to capture a certain complexity, a weave in which such a strong sensation of sublime meets that it overwhelms, overpowers and renders speechless. A traumatic event can only be understood as such in hindsight, through reminiscences, repetitions. The consequence of this strong, sudden sensation is a stretching in time, a delay inherent in the trauma. Thus, the sublime, which is itself a strong affect, paradoxically results in weak articulation, understatement, weakness of experience.
