Summary/Abstract: The monograph provides an overview of the current migration situation in the world, on the European continent and in Ukraine. The factors and consequences of international migration, its significance for development and security are analyzed. Some theoretical approaches to the analysis of migration policy, international legal documents in the field of migration, the acquisition of a common migration policy of the European Union are considered. The main directions of migration policy are illustrated by the experience of foreign countries. Particular attention is paid to the formation and development of migration policy of Ukraine, the prospects for its further improvement. Monograph is written for the general public as readership.
