Summary/Abstract: The book is the first monograph in Poland devoted to the issue of early support for child development. The author uses all the significant theoretical and empirical achievements of both Polish and foreign authors to present his own model of early support for child development focused on interactions between parents and their children. He distinguishes six features, which should determine interactions influencing development: emotional bonds with a child, sensitive responses to the child’s behavior, sharing the topic of interaction, adjusting actions to a child’s needs and abilities, reciprocity, and guiding the child’s behavior. The book is addressed to all people interested in the issues of early support directed to young children, their parents and families, also in the intervention dimension.
