Summary/Abstract: Theoretical and methodological, institutional and legal principles of formation of state economic security in the conditions of ecological transformation of economy and development of new "green" branches of production in Ukraine are considered. The technically achievable potential of renewable energy, organic agriculture and other sectors of the "green economy" as a mechanism for practical economic security in the face of threats of resource depletion.
