Summary/Abstract: In this book we have focused on the development of multilingualism in teaching German as a second foreign language (after English). In the theoretical part, the concept of multilingualism and the concept of languages in relation to multilingualism were introduced. The main research question asked how teaching situations in which the influence of the first foreign language (English as L2) on the second foreign language (German as L3) is evident are organized. As far as the structure of the identified teaching situations is concerned, it is clear that they mostly follow the IRF pattern (initiation – response – feedback) in various modifications and un various functions.
