Summary/Abstract: This monograph deals with the teaching of the German language in Baťa’s Zlín during the interwar period and during the Second World War, with a focus on the Masaryk-Experimental citizen school. The didactical concept in use at the time (foreign language teaching methods, syllabi, textbooks, and an experiment with a reduction of a subject matter) is analysed and the school is set in the context of the Czechoslovak education system of the era.
