Summary/Abstract: The TIM3-5 test is an assessment tool designed to measure mathematical abilities in the above-average children of grades 3 through 5. Because some advanced psychometric procedures, rarely employed in psychological practice in Czechia, were used during the test development, we have written this book, in which we describe selected psychometric analyses in detail. In the first place, this e-book is, of course, intended for those readers, who are interested in working with the test TIM3-5 itself. However, it may serve as a useful information source also for psychometricians, cognitive scientists, statisticians and professionals in related fields, who need to better acquaint themselves with practical use of Rasch models, with development of parallel test forms and their equating, with DIF analysis and with advanced methods of computation of reliability, which support themselves by the item response theory. The publication also deals with the relationship of mathematical giftedness and particular intelligence factors as specified by the CHC theory of cognitive abilities.
