Summary/Abstract: The book is the first scientific publication, which describes how Polish language users relate communication activities and what place in their relations is taken by the definition of their modality, i.e. the voice, looks, mimics, gestures, movement and body postures. The results of the research were obtained through analysis of the corpus data from the experimental corpus devised by the author, which allows for correlating in one database the recordings of communication activities (the interaction scenes from silent and sound documentaries from thearchives of Lodz Film School) and the relations of more than one hundred people who differ in age, gender and education.
