Summary/Abstract: The book is dedicated to the manuscript tradition of the Book of Revelation of St. John the Theologian among the South Slavs during the Middle Ages. This first volume of a larger study is focused on the earliest Serbian copy of the Book which was dated from the end of the 14th century. The copy is part of the Miscellany No. 474 of the library collection of the Hilendar Monastery (1380–1390). The Miscellany is a larger manuscript, written on paper, in Cyrillic, with semi-script, by three scribes. It contains mainly anti-Latin and Hesychast texts dealing with the philosophical and theological quests of the monastic community of the Mount Athos at the end of the 14th century.
