- Summary/Abstract:Leadership that is accountable for environmental management, making substantial changes in a long-standing tradition, and benefiting the environment; it is defined as having an impact on the environment based on the ability to employ the power that carries it, as well as making judgments and behaviors based on intuition, wisdom, and knowledge. New leadership methods are beginning to be clearly visible as a result of the growth of different management styles, especially in today's world of technological advancement, globalization, and rapid change. Aside from the use of traditional leadership approaches in many businesses, it has been observed that alternative methods and approaches are required to respond to challenges that develop as a result of changing demands of both individuals and organizations. Therefore, contemporary leadership theories (approaches) are becoming increasingly essential. Modern leadership strategies are thought to be more concerned with the issues that people face within organizations, and it is predicted that these strategies will help the organization grow and develop as well as enable it to meet its objectives more effectively. A number of different approach to leadership has been proposed on the basis of these viewpoints, and the most remarkable ones are explored in this piece of writing. We will first explore the leadership technique in which those who follow the leader assign outstanding attributes to the leader and are leading, inspirational, visionary, trustworthy, respected, and make them think favorably. This is known as charismatic leadership. We will then look at transformational leadership, which is a change-oriented strategy that enables us to adjust to changes in our life, merges the objectives of the organization and the person, and attempts to give individuals a sense of direction. Thirdly, we'll look into servant leadership, which puts people's needs above those of organizations, seeks to bring out people's professional potential, and moves forward with the intention of assisting people—particularly company employees—in achieving their objectives. Fourth, we'll examine the authentic leadership theory, which emphasizes the necessity of consistency in one's feelings, ideas, and actions in order to inspire people and make them aware of their own strengths and weaknesses. Finally, we'll cover spiritual leadership, which is a style of leadership that prioritizes meeting people's psychological and spiritual needs, builds trusting, dependable relationships, demonstrates empathy, and attempts to mediate between relationships based on both reasoning and feelings in order to increase employees' commitment to the organization.

- Summary/Abstract:In the globalizing world, with the extraordinary development and spread of technology, a dizzying speed and diversity have emerged in the world of products, services, and ideas. The tremendous development in the field of communication has also profoundly affected the interaction between people. One-sided communication in the marketing world has left its place for two-way interaction. Thanks to high interaction, the world has almost become a single market. The intensity of competition has made it mandatory for all businesses to raise the level of their products and services. As the consciousness level of the consumers increased, the subject of satisfaction began to show itself not only concretely but also intangibly. Consumers, who do not want to be indifferent to the injustice created by rapid economic developments in income distribution, tend to support disadvantaged producers in large-scale economies with social economy tools such as cooperatives. It is an important economic development that cooperatives produce products for the needs of consumers and offer them their service through the brands they will create. There are moments when the private and public sectors are inadequate in the face of the increasing number and variety of goods and services in the market. At this point, perhaps as a third way, the social economy and its elements emerge. Cooperatives such as associations, foundations, and charities, which are fundamental elements in the social economy, are also part of the search for solutions to consumer needs. Cooperatives are the organizations that support the economy the most among other social organizations. Cooperatives need to be able to exist in a competitive environment and to survive for a long time in the economies they are in. In order to be more effective in the market, they are expected to evaluate the products they have produced in the best way under free market conditions. In this context, branding is a very important issue in their marketing efforts. Although branding efforts in the field of cooperatives face some obstacles, it is a crucial step in the long-term survival struggle of cooperatives in the face of ruthless competition. Cooperatives can only keep consumer interest warm by creating customer loyalty and corporate image through promotional activities such as branding. Day by day the importance of branding efforts in the field of cooperatives and their contribution to the economy will be understood more and more.

- Summary/Abstract:Municipalities assuming important roles in the economic development of their regions has become one of the most prominent trends of our time. The impact of municipalities in this regard consists of developing policies that will provide sustainable benefits in the long term. The successful execution of this process is possible through participatory, high-quality, honest, and transparent governance processes and strategic planning. Local-level organization of municipalities can be more functional in this matter compared to centralized organizations. This is because the functions performed by municipalities encompass various factors that affect the economic development of the region, including the effectiveness of service delivery, economic activities, projects implemented, and their effectiveness in the management process. Besides economic initiatives and investment support that provide additional resources, the efficient utilization of existing resources and service approaches focused directly on the needs of citizens play a decisive role in the economic process. It is observed that municipalities demonstrating strong economic activity also have a high level of service perception.

- Summary/Abstract:Throughout the history of the Republic, it has been an important debate that media organizations did not act completely independently of the governments. Political and economic developments since the 1980s have brought the power-media and power-capital relations to a different stage. With the increase in costs, media organizations began to fall into the hands of capital groups. In this period, which is considered as the change of ownership structure in newspapers, it is seen that the relations of power, media and capital affect the media news content. Following the process that started with Asil Nadir's entry into the media market, capital groups entered the sector in order to use the power of the media and to be influential in the political arena, or accelerated the conglomerate process by purchasing existing media organs. On the other hand, the changes created by the political cycle and the ideological biases arising from the ownership structure of the media shape the news content. In this context, the sale of Doğan Medya to Demirören Group is seen as the beginning of an important change in media history. The change in the ownership structure in the media, thus moving away from a journalist-based structure to a conglomerate structure and the problems it brings together form the basis of the study. In this article, which was prepared with a critical political economy perspective, the oligopolization of the media in Turkey was tried to be explained through the sample of Demirören Holding.

- Summary/Abstract:Nowadays, it is becoming increasingly difficult for businesses to sustain their existence in an increasingly competitive environment. In this case, organizations that can determine their strategic goals and plan their actions according to changing environmental conditions can only ensure their sustainability. In the strategic management process, organizations are considered as a whole and the goals of the sub-units that make up the organization must be compatible, coordinated and supportive with the goals of the organization. This approach suppresses the self-optimization motive in sub-units and emphasizes harmony among sub-units for the optimization of the whole organization. In order to increase the effectiveness of this process, quantitative SWOT analysis, one of the basic tools of strategic management, was employed in this study. With the application study, it has been shown that it is possible to effectively use internal and external factors that will affect the future of the organization in the decision-making process in SWOT analysis. In addition, by applying the method in the furniture sector in Antakya district of Hatay province, it is aimed to contribute to the decision-making process by determining the priority ranking of the proposed projects in order to take an effective position in the increasing competitive environment. In this study, Fuzzy AHP and Hesitant Fuzzy AHP methods were used to take into account the uncertainty and indecision in expert evaluations. In the analysis, SWOT factors were quantified according to the two methods and the proposed projects were associated with SWOT factors and their priority ranks were determined according to the two methods. As a result, when the two methods were compared, it was determined that the ranking obtained was consistent.

- Summary/Abstract:Although studies on leadership focus on leadership styles and outcomes, less is known about how leaders' own psychological health affects their leadership behavior. A leadership role can be demanding and tiring. In the most challenging and difficult to achieve situations in the organization, leader behaviors act as a locomotive for the organization and its members. The leader is always seen as up to the task and as the driving force. However, the psychology of leaders may not always be sufficient to complete difficult tasks with great enthusiasm and success. Leaders themselves may need energy and motivation. Accordingly, in this study, the igniting power of leader behaviors, leader resources and the depletion of resources will be discussed within the scope of Self-Regulation Theory, and information will be given about the individual and organizational consequences of leader depletion, the importance of resource conservation and process management.
