Summary/Abstract: A treatise on evil work is in no way a historical dissertation on the beginnings of the People's Republic of Poland under Gierek, which were amusing in their coarseness; rather, it a timeless and systemic treatise (in the literal and figurative sense) on the reality of a system in which humans were mere objects, not subjects. This is expressed clearly in the nature of the literature used and referenced in the book, which often relates to publications from foreign countries and issued many years before the publication of this treatise here. This is a treatise that is still fully relevant today, under conditions in which citizens are sometimes treated as objects by the state, and in which the employee is also treated as an object in the workplace. No matter how one looks at any state system, it is always underpinned by basic values such as truth, honesty and respect, and the violation of these values does not only occur in a totalitarian system. In such a regime, the violation of these values is permanent and intense, which does not change the fact that it also takes place in contemporary Poland (Robert Zawłocki, Człowiek, który szuka prawdy, czyli słów kilka o Profesor Krystynie Daszkiewicz i Traktacie o złej robocie).
