Summary/Abstract: Municepal theatre in Krnov was among the municipal theatres in Opava and Těšín the youngest and smallest theatre with German speaking ensemble. This monography gives a chronological interpretation of the Krnov municipal theatre history. The author describes the production of the theatre, its audience potential, organization, and artistic reach in the wide context of the history of German language theatres in Moravia and Silesia. The interpretation is presented with extensive note apparatus, pictorial supplement, register of namese, list of ascertained repertoires and English and German resumé.
