Summary/Abstract: The publication is focused on the area of helping professions. It extends the researched issue of sexuality to the subject of the individual's personality and his/her attitudes towards sexuality in the context of the necessary preparedness for practice. It is focused on exploring attitudes, beliefs and values regarding human sexuality, including people with intellectual disabilities, from the perspective of helping professionals. The topic is supported by opinions on communication problems about sexual issues, opinions on the ability to discuss and communicate information on sexuality, including people with intellectual disabilities. We consider that it is necessary to improve the preparedness of persons for helping professions in relation to sexuality in the knowledge and didactics level.
