Summary/Abstract: The constant development of information and communication technologies, including their implementation in education, has been imposing new demands on both pupils and teachers of IT subjects, who must be prepared to respond to this development. Thus, the submitted monograph attempted to provide answers to some of the questions regarding the extent to which it is possible to develop pupils 'or students' digital literacy and computational skills, and how the use of these approaches and methods is perceived by IT teachers. Within the framework of the described research, we were looking for answers to the increasingly pressing issues which will need to be addressed in connection with the planned implementation of the Digital Education Strategy by 2020.
