Summary/Abstract: This expert monograph focuses on the current topic of the application of sustainability and sustainable principles in the tourism sector. In the introduction, individual definitions of sustainability are presented, including their application to tourism. A basic overview of the milestones in the development of sustainability is given. This is followed by an introduction to the forms and types of tourism that are considered inherently sustainable. A special chapter is devoted to the code of ethics and certification of sustainable tourism. The next chapter presents measurement options and sets of indicators already developed for sustainable tourism. The final chapter is devoted to the possibilities of sustainability management in tourism enterprises or destinations. The monograph includes several case studies from sustainable tourism practice.
