Summary/Abstract: Heritage is difficult to define only through historical formation or events. On the contrary, heritage is a process in which people use the past as a "discursive construction" with material consequences1. Therefore, as a property of society, it is ubiquitous, woven into the dynamics of power and closely related to the construction of identity both at the community and personal levels. As part of the "CHOICE: Cultural Heritage — Opportunity for Improving Civic Engagement" project, there was a certain evolution of ideas about the concept of heritage among its participants and organizers. In the course of joint work and two-year communication, we all went through a difficult intellectual path.
