Summary/Abstract: This study investigates the power of action of high-ranking women at state universities in Serbia and their role in improving the position of other women. The goal was to examine how they themselves view their life and career path, and whether they believe that being a woman played a role in that path. The goal of the research was to deconstruct gender stereotypes and boundaries in the most educated layers of society in order to achieve greater gender equality. The study thematizes the differences between women and feminists in academic positions, where the latter is characterized by an awareness of gender inequality as an intersectional phenomenon that permeates higher education and science, as well as a commitment to changes in the direction of greater social equality.
