Summary/Abstract: The book is the result of several years of research at the University of Silesia carried out under a grant from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (No. 11H 18 0068 87) titled Polish Ethnographic Atlas – scientific development, electronic data catalogue, publication of resources on the Internet, stage II (2020–2024) and the activities of the Ethnographic and Anthropological Research Team (2024–2028). The authors of the study are ethnologists dealing with the cultural heritage of the Polish countryside, at the same time carrying out digitisation projects aimed at popularising ethnology and cultural anthropology on the Internet. The researchers combined their experiences in a joint project, resulting in a comprehensive study on the specifics of the work currently being carried out on the Polish Ethnographic Atlas. The book may be useful for researchers more broadly interested in cultural heritage issues, mainly ethnologists, folklorists, museum professionals and enthusiasts of rural culture.
