Summary/Abstract: December 1981, Martial Law. Małgorzata Niezabitowska and photographer Tomasz Tomaszewski, disobeying severe bans, document the real picture of those days. Thanks to that material the Western world learned the truth about the reality of Jaruzelski’s Polish “war.” This unique text is published for the first time in Poland. It is accompanied by fragments of the then personal diary of the authoress and stories written after 1989 revealing the inside story of often daring but always top secret activities. The narrations along with the photographs create a multi-layered and dynamic colourful whole.
