Summary/Abstract: The publication is a review and detail discussion of the most important results on forward physics obtained with the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment collecting data at the Large Hadron Collider complex at CERN laboratory. The author focuses on the underlying event, jets, diffraction and exclusive analyses. The publication is a compendium of knowledge about the results obtained by the CMS collaboration with the data recorded in 2011-2013. The author of the publication worked at this time at CERN and was the head of two research groups conducting analysis in the scope of forward physics. According to the author's knowledge, this publication is the first such extensive review of the results obtained at the CMS experiment in this area.
