Summary/Abstract: This book presents the petrological and chemical features of high-Al chromitites associated with serpentinized ultramafic rocks of mantle origin in the Jordanów-Gogołów and the Braszowice-Brzeźnica massifs (Sudetes Mts., Poland) as well as the metamorphic processes of chromian spinel and associated silicate minerals. Collected data suggest that models of the Sudetic ophiolite formation have to be revised. The monograph is intended for experts and students in the field of Earth sciences.
