Summary/Abstract: The first part of the volume contains documents which describe the six-week detention of around 4,000 Jews in Pomiechówek, north of Warsaw, in 1941. The documents are: individual testimonies, minutes of interviews with prisoners, and a study based on interviews, supplemented by a list of people murdered or deceased in the camp. The second part concerns the extermination centres in Chełmno nad Nerem and Treblinka II, including: testimonies of refugees from the camps; a report based on the testimonies; letters that warn of the oncoming Holocaust; testimonies of people who had obtained first-hand knowledge from the refugees; an article published in an underground periodical and sketches of the Treblinka camp.
