From the author's preface:
The vagaries of diplomacy at the Berlin Congress (1878) and the Bucharest Peace (1913) hampered the Bulgarian national expansion. At present, a large part of their lands and their congeners have fallen back under the dependence of foreigners. Therefore, a sacred duty remains to be fulfilled: to give to this people who has suffered so much the possibility of enjoying one day the benefits of civilization and the fruit of their peaceful labors, within the great society of free nations.
For the defense of the just Bulgarian cause and to give more objectivity to this presentation, we have ignored the multiple testimonies of Bulgarian sources and reproduced only those of foreigners. However, all unanimously prove in an irrefutable way the legitimacy of the Bulgarian claims.
May impartiality and justice preside over the deliberations of the world forum, from which will emerge the status of the globe, at the time of the grave decisions on which depends the realization of the immortal words of the Master: "Peace on earth and good will towards men!
