Summary/Abstract: The theoretical considerations and research questions and hypotheses presented in the book are connected to the phenomenon of academic resilience, defined as a higher probability of achieving success in school despite facing setbacks caused by the ascribed traits of the individual, his/her life circumstances and experiences. Students described as being “academically resilient” uphold a high level of educational achievements despite the presence of stressful conditions and events during their studies.
