Summary/Abstract: The book “Personal Finance” is designed as the first introduction for students of all disciplines and specialties to personal and family finances. In the introductory part, the course deals with fundamental aspects of personal and family finances, financial, equity and money markets, and investment portfolio, its formation and management. The following units are focused on loans, savings and investment, risk and hedging against risk, insurance, system of payment, and electronic banking. Moreover, the topics of housing, personal and family goals and their planning and execution will not be left out. In the context of this course, students also receive information on selected areas of personal and family finances over the world.
