Summary/Abstract: German-language monograph on professional theatre in Brno during the baroque historical period is based on original research of so far unreflected and unpublished archival sources stored in the Brno archives. Thanks to the topic with numerous important overlaps the local history of professional theatre in Brno is included into the large context of Baroque theatre in Central Europe. The Czech edition of the book (2009) was received with enthusiasm in professional circles and superlative reviews in professional journals. The German version comes after repeated requests from foreign experts.
