Summary/Abstract: The author’s concept of the hydrogeochemical system of the mountain catchment referring to the general mathematical theory of systems. The author characterizes the hydrogeochemical conditions of three catchments: of the Tatras, Pieniny and Podhale and describes the processes leading to the removal of rock mass dissolved in water from land areas taking into account a wide range of issues of hydrodynamics, hydrochemistry and mineralogy.
