Summary/Abstract: The work of one of the most eminent Renaissance humanists of the 15th century, Leon Battista Alberti (1404–1472). The book consists of one hundred philosophical or allegorical fables, belonging to a literary genre called an apologue. These short stories contain a moral doctrine, often not stated explicitly, which derives from a told story. The books is the first Polish translation by Włodzimierz Olszaniec, supplemented with an academic commentary and a preface.
