Summary/Abstract: The concept of green economy is promoted in the Republic of Moldova as a model of social and economic development, which must result in economic growth, improvement of welfare and social equity. Such an economy must be low-carbon, resource-efficient and socially inclusive, with a significant reduction in environmental risks and the impact on public health. // Efforts to green the Moldovan economy have been strengthened by the creation of the Inter-ministerial Working Group on Promoting Sustainable Development and the Green Economy and the elaboration of the Roadmap for the Promotion of the Green Economy in Moldova by identifying short- and medium-term actions during 2018-2020 and the Environmental Strategy for 2014-2023. // In this context, the evaluation of the performances of green economic development in the Republic of Moldova must become an integral part of a sustainable economic and environmental governance. This report supports these activities, providing the basis and setting the national framework for monitoring and implementing green growth indicators, including the roadmap for promoting the green economy.
