Summary/Abstract: The article is a part of research within the framework of the “Discourses and development dilemmas in Central American local communities” project, funded by the National Science Centre (project no. 2018/29/B/ HS6/00187). The paper analyses the content of a series of 2014 publications titled “Manual para la mediación cultural. Our interest focuses on the notions of indigenous peoples and development as key elements of the development paradigm that shapes the world of contemporary institutions and international relations.
