Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the “Doctrine of the method” of the Critique of Practical Reason, and uses the findings to investigate the possibility of juridical morality and political virtues in Kant. With respect to the first task, we shall discuss the pages that precede the “Doctrine of the method” and introduce the notion of a moral schematism analogous to the transcendental one in the Critique of Pure Reason. To discuss the possibility of civic ethics in Kant, we shall consider differences and similarities between his doctrine of law and his ethics.
