Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the research done on reading press by the students of the main libraryof Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. The subject of research was getting toknow readers’ motivation and its conditions. Observations prove that students are readingless and less, deriving information above all from textbooks and the Internet.
