Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of an empirical sub-study with the aim of examining images in current DaF textbooks with regard to the DACH principle. In doing so, the focus will be on the textbooks for secondary education approved by the Ministry in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This textbook analysis focuses primarily on the pictorial material which refers to the German-speaking countries Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The article attempts to answer the following questions: How and to what extent is the DACH principle expressed in the German textbooks? How is the cultural diversity shown in the illustrations? Which image of the German-speaking countries do the current DaF textbooks convey? However, the article also attempts to identify open questions the answers to which are reserved for further research.
