Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the media and their consumers in the novel Camera Killer written by Thomas Glavinic. It concentrates on the camera motive and its different functions in the novel. The camera is not only used as a murder weapon and as as murder motive, but it also plays an important role in the reporting of the murder and for the narrative situation. The following article will show that the influence of the media on our perception and emotions can not be denied and that it also defines our behaviour.
