Summary/Abstract: The literature review shows us lots of linkages between work and family. This paperis focused on the most popular mechanism, that is most frequently verified — the conflictperspective. Work‑familyconflict is conceptualized as a construct with dual direction:work‑to‑family, when work obligations make it difficult to fulfil family obligations andfamily‑to‑workconflict, when family obligations make it difficult to fulfil work obligations. The most popular model examining the linkages between work and family fromconflict perspective is the model created by researchers: Michael Frone, Marcia Russelli M. Lynne Cooper (1992). It becomes the starting point for other researchers. Thecontemporary conflict theories (Rae Lesser Blumberg, Janet Saltzman Chafetz) are alsomentioned.
