Summary/Abstract: The education and mental development of students is closely related to the didactic development of the learning content in mathematics. The theoretical-multiple approach is an essential part of the theoretical foundations for revealing regularities in mathematics. The requirements for logical consistency in their construction create a basis for the completion of the cognitive process. The main aspects related to the application of the set-theoretical approach in the study of mathematical concepts are considered in the present work in order to build students' knowledge, skills and competences for using mathematics as a way of thinking.
