Summary/Abstract: The article aims to review the Stabilisation and Association Agreements between European Union and the countries of Western Balkans and to outline the Bulgarian contribution to the process of integration of the states from the region in the EU. The review has considered two main aspects – implementation of political and economic reforms – according to official reports and statistics of EU. The following conclusions were drawn: the Stability and Association Agreements have a beneficial impact on the countries from the Western Balkans and two states are effectively implementing political and economic reforms – Albania and North Macedonia. The Bulgarian contribution to the integration of the states from the region is political, but Bulgarian policy is not consistent especially in the transport connectivity and the attitude towards EU membership of Republic of North Macedonia.
