Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to detail and describe the mechanisms of naming male characters in the Asterix comic books, taking into account the morphology of their onomastic prototypes, as well as changes in spelling and pronunciation, which allow for achieving an element of surprise as a source of comedy.
