Summary/Abstract: The contribution introducers the research, supported by the International Visegrad Fund, focuses on development factors of thermal parks in the Visegrád Four countries. Thermal parks in Czechia are just being in the stage of initiation, to the contrary of better facilitated Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. It is associated both with the natural potential both the development trends of health and wellness tourism. Four running and under construction thermal parks in Czechia are analyzed as well as possible perspectives and impacts on local and regional development and tourism sector as the whole.
