First Aid in Pre-Graduate Preparation of Teachers at Primary Level of Education

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the structure and content of first aid as part of health education in pre-graduate preparation of teachers at primary level of education. We analyze the state of first aid education at faculties of pedagogy in the Slovak Republic with a focus on the preschool and elementary pedagogy at the bachelor level of education in daily and external study. The paper provides a brief overview of the analysis of available information sheets of individual subjects at faculties of education with regard to education in the given field. We then analyze the ISCED 1 State Education Program with a link to the issue.
