Summary/Abstract: Personal and professional notes about health and healthy lifestyle can be found in Masaryk´s work. The phenomenon of health was often directly and indirectly understood by Masaryk as a crucial indicator of the quality of human life in modern times, in the physical, social, mental and spiritual point of view. The aim of the paper is to present and interpret these notes in the effort to formulate a coherent concept of health in the intentions of Masaryk's thinking.
