Summary/Abstract: Teaching represents an organized bipolar process involving pupils and teachers with students as the main actors and only through their activity in class teaching becomes effective. Teachers are expected to plan and prepare a variety of activities, and student s are expected to be active, explore, discover, solve problems... Students seek for inspiration in their work which the teacher stimulates with various strategies. Therefore, it is necessary to direct the teaching towards the students, i.e., from the very beginning of the schooling, students should gain experience by participating in individual, class and/or school projects. The international Erasmus + project titled "Young Storytellers" lasted from September 2016 to September 2018. It was realized in cooperation with Goteborg High School in Sweden, elementary school in Jaen, Spain and Primary School Veruda in Pula, Croatia. The scope of the project was to determine whether the development of students' books can strengthen students' reading and entrepreneurial skills. In younger students, a special focus was set on reading skills, focusing on the ability to read and write, analyze and discuss critical thinking, communication skills, group work in everyday and transnational environment. In older students the aim was to strengthen their desire to continue tertiary education as well as lifelong reading and entrepreneurial skills. This paper presents examples of good practice in the project. The work on the project has shown the need for adjusting the work of teachers, i.e. educational staff with students. In this way, students will make major progress because everyone included in the educational process, teachers, professional associates, parents and students, cooperates. In addition to cooperation, the task of each educator is to build and develop successful lessons, providing students with security and successful progress.
