Summary/Abstract: In today’s society we are getting more and more out of the traditional framework of education and increasingly accessing the modern way of education.Creativity and innovation are becoming more and more important characteristics of a teacher. We consider that we all have inborn a certain degree of creativity and innovation and the question is, does our educational system develop that throughout our education or are we becoming less and less creative and innovative over time.512We conducted a reasearch at Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Sarajevo, using a questionnaire. The questionnaire was answered by 50 students at the age of 22 to 25. The goal of this research was to determine what students think, what are the features of creative person.Features such as imagination and resourcefulness are the most common answers. Then follow interestingness, originality, wit, intelligence. A small number of students think that features of creative person are innovation and versatility.Students are highly motivated for future work with children by the professors but education system doesn’t pay enough attention developing creativity. It is very important that we, as a future teachers and preschool teachers, have a high degree of creativity and innovation so that the quality of teaching could be as better as it can.
