Summary/Abstract: The focus of this paper is the role of form teachers in the educational process. The form teacher is the leader and educator of a certain group of students who make a classroom. The fundamental educational role in lower classes of the elementary school belongs to a class teacher and in higher classes and high school to a form teacher. The success of educational work largely depends on the quality of the personality of the form teacher, on his/her competences, moral qualities, attitudes and personal example. The educational role of the form teacher should be highlighted as one of the primary roles and as such it should performthe function of a pedagogical, organizational and administrative manager of one class of students.In order to achieve his/her professional tasks in a contemporary and high-quality manner, the teacher must constantly learn and supplement his/her pedagogical, psychological, professional, didactic-methodological, sociological and general knowledge. He/she should be motivated for continuous professional training and show openness to changes in education and training.
