Summary/Abstract: With its strategic location and fertile lands, Anatolia has hosted many civilizations from historical times to the present. There are many sacred places in Anatolia for both polytheistic and monotheistic religions, such as Göbeklitepe, the world’s oldest belief center. The phenomenon of faith and the drive to reach the manifestation of the sacred, which continued from Paleolithic ages to modern ages, made it necessary for people to visit holy places. Although people’s perceptions and motivations have changed over time, the sacred places visited and the sacred routes followed have survived to the present day
