Summary/Abstract: The spread of the Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on air travel globally by blocking the sector in early 2020 for almost two years. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the sector is expected to recover by 2024 until it reaches pre-crisis levels. As a positive trend, at the end of 2022 there is an increase in the number of serviced passengers and the forecasts are for recovery as early as this year. In this regard, this report provides an overview of the trends and problems of the recovery of passenger air transport in Europe after the Covid-19 pandemic, addressing factors such as the geopolitical situation, high aviation fuel prices and lack of staff. The report analyses how these factors affect the recovery of the sector and outlines the directions of its development in the coming years.
