Summary/Abstract: The report aims to systematize and analyze leadership style theories in the context of crisis and post-crisis periods. Based on a thorough literature review, the relationships between crisis and leadership, the correlations between leadership theories and their constituent styles, and their application in periods of intense crisis and recovery are investigated. Adherence to more effective leadership styles in a particular situation can optimize a business organization‘s response to crisis events and accelerate the time required for recovery. As a result of the analysis, representatives of both early leadership theories, – early behavioral theories and later situational and modern theories are identified. A classification of leadership styles and their correlation with periods of crisis and recovery is made, with the most intensively expressed differences in leadership behavior being identified.
