Summary/Abstract: Public health protection policies designed to slow and limit the transmission of COVID-19 have had a dramatic impact on transportation demand. The blockage of mobility and social activity is accompanied by a large drop in economic activity, with countries more dependent on international transport or tourism being particularly adversely affected. This has resulted in a dramatic reduction in passenger and freight transport and a reduction in traffic volume. The pandemic has highlighted the strategic and essential value of road transport for social and economic survival and the inevitable need to protect and manage roads to ensure mobility. Road networks are an essential component for the efficient management of the economy. When outages occur due to hazards, the network is compromised, resulting in serious losses in financial and economic costs to agencies, road operators and transport users. Therefore, in the post-COVID-19 era, it will be more necessary than ever to address the sustainability of roads, transport and related functions. The report contains a summary of webinars of the World Road Association /PIARC/ in the period April 2020 – December 2020.
