Summary/Abstract: The goal of the current study is related to the creation of an innovative model for the development of tourism regions and specialized tourism products that correspond to the modern requirements and needs of the tourists. The research presents innovative approaches of the destination management, such as application of the four classical innovation models, adapted to the tourism product of MICE, health and urban-entertainment types of tourism. The paper also reviews the application of sensory marketing as an innovative approach to the products of the specialized types of tourism, such as MICE, health and urban-entertainment tourism. Sensory marketing is a line of the product innovation that stands out as a direction, related to management, but also to tourism products and, in particular, to the image of the tourism company.
